See How a Brigade Commander Reacted After His Convoy Killed a 75-Year Old Man in Katsina

It was reported few days ago that the convoy of the Commanding officer of 17 Brigade Nigerian Army was involved in a road traffic accident.

The accident occured yesterday Monday, the 29th of June 2020

The accident took the life of an old man of about 75 years of age.

The incident was hopeless because the victim was too weak to have a chance of survival even though he was swiftly rushed to the hospital.

The dead man was identified to as Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim

Ibrahim hails from the Filim Samji part of Katrina, and also a Motorcycler.

According to Col. Sagir Musa, the Director of Army Public Relations said in his statement.

He narrated that the incident occurred when the vehicle was taken to petrol station for refuel and was expected to pick up the Brigade commander later after the refill.

On their way back after refill, the vehicle hit the motorcycle causing the old man fall off to his death instantly.

All efforts rendered to help  resuscitate him were futile.

He was later confirmed dead in the hospital

Furthermore, a delegation of the Nigerian Army led by the Brigade commander himself has paid a consolation visit to the vereaved family of the late Alhaji Sakisu Ibrahim.

The Brigade Commander and his surbordinates  would also be fully present at Sakisu Ibrahim's burial.

This actions of the Brigade Commander and his allies were that of humility if you would see it from a unique perspective.

Recall that the Nigerian army had been viewed by many Nigerians as always ruthless in their dealings with civilians.

But this Brigade Commander's actions seems to be a pinnacle of humility to the victim
