Breaking: Coronavirus Has Been Confirmed as Airborne Disease

It is very important that we know that Covid-19 virus otherwise Coronavirus is an airborne disease; I will explain in details in this post.

Covid-19 virus is airborne disease in the sense that large droplets do fly through the air whenever a carrier sneezes or coughs or any much smaller exhaled droplets.

he experts Scientists from different countries say that the deadly Coronavirus is a virus borne through the air and many people can infect it when inhaled.

Efogator Media gathered from New York Times that about 239 scientists from 32 different countries around the world has sent an open letter to the World Health Organization (WHO) to this effect.

According to the letter sent by these scientists, they claimed that the novel deadly coronavirus has been confirmed to be airborne.

The scientist therefore called on WHO to revisit its recommendations of the virus; this was reported by New York Times.

You will recall that the World Health Organization (WHO) has been saying from the onset of the outbreak of Covid-19 that the deadly virus CAN ONLY SPREAD by large respiratory droplets of the infected person.

According to WHO, the virus can also spread through coughs and sneezes fall on surface or contact with the infected person. Thus, the World Health Organization (WHO) has been recommending hand washing and using of nose mask for everyone as a primary prevention measure for the virus.

WHO believes that our hands may regularly come in contact with such surfaces or come in contact with the infected person.

WHO’s latest update on the 29 of June 2020, the global health body said that the virus can only spread through the air, but such can only happen during medical procedures which will produce aerosols, or droplets smaller than 5 microns.

Such medical procedures include tracheal intubation, non-invasive ventilation, and tracheotomy among others, WHO said that only the healthcare workers are exposed to the risk of infecting the virus through the air, this is according to the World Health Organization.

Recall that in the early April this year, a group of 36 scientific experts on air quality and aerosols have urged the World Health Organization to consider the growing evidence on airborne transmission of Covid-19 virus.
